Role Summary
The Senior Accountant supports MSC’s corporate and regional finance functions by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with international and local accounting standards, and timely execution of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger postings.
Ø Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger, manage fixed assets, financing and maintain accurate financial records.
Ø Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements and other reporting.
Ø Participate in internal and external audits, providing required schedules and documentation.
Ø Identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting accuracy.
Ø Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies and local statutory requirements including tax.
Ø Budgeting and variance analysis.
