{"id":24479,"title":"PSC Officer","company":"Dromon Bureau of Shipping","location":"Limassol","description":"Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DromonClass) is seeking the employment of a PSC Officer, for the support of its Marine Division.\n\r\nThe position’s primary role is to monitor the port state control inspections of DromonClass fleet.\n\r\nMajor duties:\n\r\n\r\nLiaising with port state control authorities to ensure that Dromon surveyors and/or auditors are called in as appropriate when deficiencies related to class and statutory matters are found.\r\nLiaising with port state control officers to ensure uniformity of interpretation of class and statutory requirements.\r\nProviding port state control officer, upon request, with background information, extracts from reports pertinent to the inspection, and details of outstanding conditions of class and statutory items.\r\nLiaising with the flag state in accordance with prior agreement, and the owner’s representative and/or company, to ensure that both parties are fully aware of actions being taken that affect safety-related matters of either a class or statutory nature.\r\nReviewing the port state control inspection regime of Dromon on a daily basis.\r\nInforming the owner and/or company responsible for a port state control inspection.\r\nRequesting the submission of port state control inspection reports and/or evidence of rectification through myDromon platform.\r\nUpdating the Platform for previously imposed port state control inspections deficiencies.\r\nCalculating the performance of Dromon on port state control inspections twice per calendar year.\r\nInstructing the surveyor and/or auditor to attend on board in case of PSC Detention.\r\n\r\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\r\n\r\nBachelor’s degree in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Shipping.\r\nExperience in a Classification Society will be considered as an advantage.\r\nFluent in English both verbal and writing.\r\nData analysis skills are required.\r\nAbility to adhere to deadlines.\r\nComputer literate.\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and work under pressure\r\nOrganizational skills\r\n\r\n \n\r\nCondition","salary":null,"skills":[],"url":"https://www.cypruswork.com/job/107291/psc-officer/","source":"cypruswork","sources":[{"url":"https://www.cypruswork.com/job/107291/psc-officer/","source":"cypruswork"}],"qualifications":[],"scaleGrade":null,"employmentType":"Full Time","industry":"Shipping - Maritime","datePosted":"2026-07-02T10:04:18.000Z","deadline":"2026-08-31T13:04:18+03:00","createdAt":"2026-07-03T20:58:46.288Z","fingerprint":"1210e8fd98b5371c","status":"active","lastSeenAt":"2026-07-03T20:58:46.268Z"}
