{"id":20567,"title":"Infrastructure and Security Engineer","company":"Akronos Technologies","location":"Nicosia","description":"Akronos Technologies Hellas, part of the Akronos Technologies Group - International group leader in innovation, R&D and high-tech engineering services - aiming to expand its Greek team is looking for the following profile:\n\r\nKey Responsibilities:\n\r\n\r\nOversee, optimize, and maintain cloud and on-premises systems, networks, and servers to guarantee maximum uptime and performance.\r\nArchitect, implement, and monitor robust security measures to protect data, networks, and systems from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.\r\nSpearhead the detection, investigation, and resolution of security incidents, conducting thorough root-cause analysis.\r\nEnsure all IT infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards.\r\nDefine and test comprehensive backup plans and disaster recovery protocols to maintain business continuity.\r\nPartner with development and operations teams to embed security protocols into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.\r\n\r\nQualifications & Skills:\n\r\n\r\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field\r\nMaster’s degree in an IT related field will be considered an advantage\r\nProven experience working as a Network Engineer, System Administrator, or Security Specialist.\r\nStrong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), virtualization, and containerization.\r\nDeep understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption protocols, and vulnerability management tools.\r\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).\r\nCISSP, CEH, CCNA, or cloud security certifications are highly advantageous.\r\nExcellent command of English (written and spoken), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\r\n\r\n\r\nNot what you are looking for?
