A key focus of the team is computational biology, Bioinformatics, and omics data analysis, with emphasis on infectious diseases, multi-omics integration, and in silico drug discovery.\n \n \nJOB SUMMARY \nThe successful candidate will contribute to the EU HORIZON project REFINE (Receptor-Focused Interventions Against Orthoflavivirus Neuroinvasion and Entry).\n \nThe position is for 12 months with the possibility of extension.\n \nWHAT WE ARE SEEKING\nA PhD degree in any of the following, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Biological, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field Strong command of the English language Strong interpersonal analytical and communication skillsExperience with Unix environments and programming languages (Python, R) \nThe following will be considered as advantages: \nBackground in biological sciences, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fieldsExperience in infectious diseases, multi-omics data analysis, and in silico drug discovery.Experience working with viral proteins, structural biology, molecular docking or molecular dynamicsExperience with machine leaning on high-performance computing environments Experience in web development \n \nHOW TO APPLY\n \nA cover letter together with a detailed curriculum vitae and two referees’ contact details should reach the Institute by Wednesday, 13th of May 2026. by e-mail at: vacancies@cing.ac.cy, stating the reference code.
